Business Strategy & Operations


In the initial stages, I was involved in almost all aspects of growing the startup from business development and marketing to strategy, operations and finance. Key projects included developing financial projections for our investors, budgeting for our Series A capital injection and building management dashboards for tracking, analysis and investor reporting.

As the business expanded, my role shifted towards business intelligence and operations. I developed templates, pitch decks and proposals for the regional sales teams, worked closely with our partners and colleagues to resolve issues and conflicts, and assisted in cross-functional improvement projects to streamline efficiency and improve productivity.

I developed a strong understanding of payments infrastructure and trends, chargeback processes and risk checks. Additionally, I have functional experience in the customer purchase journey and sales funnel optimization, digital marketing strategy, go-to-market strategy, data analytics and BI.

May 2017 – Jul 2017

Business Management, Wealth Management Operations


I was part of the UBS Wealth Management Business Management team, and assisted the business manager to manage a US$5m offshoring and relocation project, working extensively with the foreign partner vendor, senior management and various colleagues from UBS overseas offices to ensure timely project delivery and go-live.

I was also involved in numerous personal projects, such as streamlining an invoice extraction process by learning and developing an Excel VBA macro within 2 weeks. In addition, I also revised the existing project cost allocation methodology between group operations and business functions, resulting in greater cost visibility, objectivity and management insight.

Management Consulting


This was my initial exposure to financial services and consulting, I was involved in various aspects of the deal flow from deal sourcing, benchmarking and research, to client interfacing and brainstorming with senior members of the team.

Key takeaways include working with colleagues across all levels of the company, understanding the consulting workflow, developing business and financial acumen and producing deliverables of the highest quality.

Mar 2012 – May 2012

Corporate Finance

JTC Corporation

I landed my first internship with a government statutory board – was initially with their land planning department and later transferred to their corporate finance team to develop JTC’s initial in-house bond purchaseĀ  program.

My experience include using the Bloomberg Terminal to conduct research, analyse and evaluate bond purchases using various risk and business metrics, and advanced Excel for modelling and analytics.

I studied accountancy at Nanyang Business School. I was actively involved in numerous organizations, being Chief Programmer of the Freshmen Orientation Camp and being in the research committee of the Investment Interactive Club.
